Light segments and whole ends not working?

My segment on my light is discolored any way I bend it, I don’t know how to fix, and suddenly as I’m putting up, the whole end blacks out unless I twist it all around itself, for now I’m just leaving it there. The lepro N1 strip

Could I cut it or would that stop the whole thing as well?
