B1 light not connecting to phone

Hi

I moved houses and trying to set up the B1 lights I have again and they won’t connect to my phone. After going through the usual process from blinking blue and connecting to my 2.4GHz wifi, the light goes back to basic color and I get “bluetooth disconnected” on my phone. Tried many times and same result. 
I read in another post that the lights might need a firmware update, but I don’t have access to the previous wifi to do that either.

Please try the following steps to update firmware:
1. Use another phone to open a hot-spot as WiFi
2. Go to WLAN setting, connect your own phone to the hot-spot.
3. Reset the bulb in pairing mode and pair it to Lepro app.
4. Click 'Firmware Upate' in 'Me' interface.
5. After successful firmware update, connect your phone to your WiFi router, reset the bulb and re-pair it with the Lepro app.

Just tried this and unfortunately it didn’t work too. I was getting a message saying that connection to router failed even though the hotspot phone had good signal and was very close to both my phone and the lightbulb.

When setting up another phone as a hotspot, if there is a compatibility-related toggle on the interface, make sure to enable it. 
You may also try using a different phone to create the hotspot.
